Joe thought in his mind how he could easily name 3 or 4 more strategies Jim doesn’t use.
Joe continued to go back and forth in his head, “Why the hell haven’t I seen the results yet?”
It wasn’t fair; he knows how to generate direct sales leads as well as any of them. Give him a few minutes of your time and he’ll tell you at least 7 different ways to generate traffic.
It was absolutely ridiculous to Joe that Jim had been able to come in to the same opportunity, at the same time, and see twice the results.
After all, Joe consumed EVERYTHING he could. While it seemed that Jim didn’t do half the stuff of Joe.
Jim Understood the Value of Simplicity & That Pesky Little Devil Who Lives in The Details
You see, Joe knew early that he needed to learn how to generate direct sales leads. So, he went out and gathered EVERYTHING that had to do with generating leads and driving traffic.
On the other hand, Jim decided he needed to become a Master of 3 simple things to become a success. And then, he would be in a position to ALWAYS have leads.
That is the biggest disconnect between the Successful Entrepreneur and the Unsuccessful Entrepreneur.
While Joe was off reading EVERY email and attending EVERY webinar from dusk till dawn, Jim was methodically charting out his route to success.
Every day Jim had tasks to be done. Nothing difficult, just small tasks that needed to be done.
Joe, on the other hand, never felt like he had any time to get anything done. How could he possibly do something when he didn’t have all of the info!
Joe had started a long string of tools. You name it and Joe could talk to you about for hours.
However, when you asked Joe how these things are working for his business, he always seemed to have the same answer…
”Oh…yeah, yeah, yeah I was using that technique for a little bit, but that technique doesn’t work so I dumped it. Now I’m into….”
Quite the contrast of Jim.
When you asked Jim what he was working on you would get the same, almost boring response…
”Still increasing conversions, putting the basics to hard use and increasing effectiveness. The next 6 months are looking great; I think I’m right on track.”

Joe always had to start from scratch and learn something new.
The more effective Jim became the less time it would take to achieve the same or better results.
Joe never saw enough results from any one technique to build from.
Jim can tell you that he feels excited about the next 6 months because he can predict his results.
Joe hasn’t put any real thought into the next 6 months because he doesn’t know what he’s doing right now.

When Jim started he focused on Valuable Content/Marketing, Conversions/Sales and Duplication
When Joe got started ALL he wanted was more leads.
Jim cultivated a business based on Valuable Content/Marketing, Conversions/Sales and Duplication. He had trust in the community.
When Jim put out a piece of Content…people noticed.
Of course Jim understood the importance of the distribution of his Content. However, it did not require the utmost attention. Jim’s contribution to the market was only going to lead to business if the content had true Value.
So, while both Joe and Jim use tools for Social Media, Web 2.0 distribution, SEO, Blogs, Capture Pages, etc.
Only Jim understands all of those things are only tools.

Jim, on the other hand, went on to build a multiple 6 figure business over the next 12-18 months. Jim never lost sight of providing Valuable Content/Marketing, Sales/Conversions and Duplication.
The better Jim got at these 3 simple things the higher his Income would go!
