At Last! How To Increase Direct Sales Revenue

“I just can’t seem to make any more money.  I’m doing everything I can but I don’t seem to be getting anywhere…what do I do?”

The 3 simplest things you can control to increase your direct sales revenue are…

Leads, Conversions and Duplication.

Let’s take a closer look at each one of these to show you how you are going to get on the right track.

  • Leads: Leads are the easy part.  You can literally turn them on and turn them off.  I’m going to assume you are utilizing most of the FREE traffic tools available to you.

Tools like:  Social Media, Web 2.0, Articles, Videos, Press Releases, SEO.

Let me give you a simple and quick way to drive traffic to your site.  Create a piece of content (good content).  This can be a video, article, report, etc.

Post that content to your Blog.

Head over to Facebook or Twitter and distribute that content.  If you have 3,000 followers on Twitter, you just sent your message to 3,000 people.

By far the simplest way to send FREE traffic to your site

Paid Advertising is even easier.  Simply begin to scale out existing campaigns or begin to build new campaigns.

Of course, you have done your market research and you are sending your message to qualified prospects.  That way, your Tweet to 3,000 people is relevant to them and your message.

  • Conversions: When learning how to increase direct sales revenue, the easiest component to tweak is your conversions.

You can ALWAYS tweak your conversions.  Something can ALWAYS be tested.

You can split test your call to action on a certain piece of content that is pulling good traffic.

You can split test your opt-in offer.  Which offer gets more opt-ins?

For paid advertising you should always split test your ads.

When you get an ad that pulls well, split test your landing page.  On your landing page(s) you can split test everything…headline, sub-headline, copy, offer, opt-in, etc.

After enough time you will have increased your direct sales revenue without adding anything new and without spending any extra dough.

In the sales world it’s A.B.C. (Always Be Closing)

In the Marketing/Advertising world it’s A.B.T. (Always Be Testing)

  • Duplication: The often talked about but often overlooked aspect of your business…Duplication.

It’s funny when we talk about how to increase direct sales revenue, we always talk about how to increase you direct business.

In this industry you can make a substantial income by duplicating your business in others.

The goal here is to have your team Duplicate your success.  Here’s a quick and easy way to do that.

EVERYTHING you work on in a given week becomes training material.

If you found some new tool that makes Article distribution easier…share it.

If you found the Holy Grail combo of Ads, Landing Page and Offer…share it.

After spending hours on the phone with qualified prospects you have finally figured out how to recruit effectively…share it.

Now you have a TON of content to share with your team during your team trainings…You are doing team trainings AREN’T YOU!?

All of this will increase the success of your team and decrease the road blocks…which will set you up for long success.

I’m sure you’ve become all too familiar with the term Top 3% or 3 percenter.

What you’re looking at above is the average for the top 3%…this is just an AVERAGE

So what’s the difference between a direct sales income earner and the other 97%?

Here’s a better question.  What can you do to get to the Top 3%?

So here’s what I’ve got for ya…

The 3 simplest strategies to have you from the 97% to the Top 3% in less than 90 days.

  • Plan of Action: You have got to know where you’re going and how you “plan” to get there.

All direct sales income earners are creatures of habit.  There are certain tasks that have to get done on a daily basis.

Think about Krispy Kreme doughnuts for just a minute.  What if you drove by and saw the “Hot Ready Now” sign lit up.  Go ahead and try to tell me you can’t taste it.

So you pull in to pick up some doughnuts.  You go in only to find out there are no doughnuts.

In your curiosity you ask why not.  The only response you get is, “oh, it just didn’t get done today.”

This would be unacceptable and that store would soon be out of business.

If it’s not right for Krispy Kreme, why do you operate your business this way every day?

Look, it’s very simple…If you’re following a map and you don’t take one of the turns, you will get lost.

  • Time Leadership: You and I both know time cannot be managed.  So get the notion of “Time Management” out of your head.

You have 24 hrs a day everyday no matter how you split it.  You can’t manage time or control time.

What you can do is Lead yourself through time.

We are going to go back to your Action Plan.  Do you remember all of those tasks that need to get accomplished every day?

Good, now take those tasks and chunk them down into time slots.  I’ve found that 1 hour blocks work the best.

I’ve even seen research that says your attention span begins to wander around 70 minutesish.

This does 2 things for you:

  1. You will KNOW at the end of each day EXACTLY what has been accomplished
  2. It gives you a start time and a finish time (a goal, task, intention, etc without an completion time is just a dream)
  • Streamline & Repeat: Let’s assume you have worked your plan for a solid month.

You have been diligent about getting all of your tasks accomplished every day.

You have been freed from the time Vampires and you’re beginning to notice some results.

You are getting more traffic to your site.  People are commenting on your Blog.  People are commenting and Re-Tweeting your content.

Now What?

By going through the past entire month you have surely come across some inefficiency.

The next step is to start over!  Look at your business from where it stands now, 30 days later and come up with a new Action Plan.

Take that plan and be just as diligent as you were with the first.  By the end of that second month you will be LIGHT YEARS ahead of where you were at the beginning.

After doing this for a third time and FINISHING that 3rd month (90 days).  You will be a direct sales income earner.

Enough Already! How To Generate Home Based Business Leads That Give A Damn

“One thousand leads a month minimum!”

I didn’t think like that sounded like too big of a deal.  After all he (my sponsor) was generating up to 5,000 leads a month.  “If he’s doin’ 5,000 I know I can get at least 1,000.”

Those were my initial thoughts.

I came out of the gate SWINGING! Articles, videos, press releases, Twitter, Facebook, Squidoo, etc, etc.

Anything that could get me traffic was something I was going to use.  After all, if I was going to build a HUGE Direct Sales team I had better learn how to generate home based business leads.

After 2 weeks I didn’t understand why I didn’t have 100 leads.

A month went by and I really thought I was missing something…was I doing something wrong?

It probably took me another 2 months to really begin to put the pieces of the entire puzzle together.

You’re Doing It ALL Wrong!

We are a part of the most amazing transformation of how Home based Business is done.

We were tired of the Home meetings and Hotel gatherings.  We quickly jumped online and began to build our brands and escape the world of the 97% who failed.

Gone were the days of the 3 foot rule.  No more nagging friends and family.  And finally, I could go visit my mechanic without him fearing I was going to sell him something!

On my journey to master how to generate home based business leads, I began to notice a pattern.

What do you expect from the Super Star in your company?

If you don’t offer the same, you won’t be in the game..So GET PREPARED!

Being prepared ALWAYS leaves you with content.  Content you can provide to your market because you’ve actually DONE it.

Take for instance you are building a Top Tier Direct Sales Team.

Wouldn’t it be helpful for you to develop some sort of team training?  Of course it is!

So do it…and DO IT NOW!!! Don’t get caught up in the “If I build a big team, then I’ll develop training.”

This is the “If…Then” mentality and it SUCKS

Just think, in a couple of weeks you can turn that team training into content.

Maybe you did a great training about Article Marketing, or Social Media Marketing.  You could turn that into a video and give it away as your Opt-in…you could do anything!

Now you are offering PRIVATE TEAM TRAINING to the market…Now that’s valuable!

Just remember, if you build it, they will come

How To Generate Direct Sales Leads: An Eye-Opener of a Story

“This S%&! doesn’t work!  I’ve read everything.  I attend every Webinar.  How can He come in and have better results?!  I just don’t get it…what does he do differently?”

Joe thought in his mind how he could easily name 3 or 4 more strategies Jim doesn’t use.

Joe continued to go back and forth in his head, “Why the hell haven’t I seen the results yet?”

It wasn’t fair; he knows how to generate direct sales leads as well as any of them.  Give him a few minutes of your time and he’ll tell you at least 7 different ways to generate traffic.

It was absolutely ridiculous to Joe that Jim had been able to come in to the same opportunity, at the same time, and see twice the results.

After all, Joe consumed EVERYTHING he could.  While it seemed that Jim didn’t do half the stuff of Joe.

Jim Understood the Value of Simplicity & That Pesky Little Devil Who Lives in The Details
