How To Make Money With Nothing:  Is It Possible and Can You Do It

It takes money to make money.  Well, I think a better phrase would be…It takes money to have your money work for you.

So let’s cut to the chase here and talk about how to make money with nothing.  Can it really be done and can you do it.

It’s true that the #1 obstacle facing most entrepreneurs is funding.  And to dig a little deeper, the lack of funding is the #1 EXCUSE most entrepreneurs use to not go all out.

While funding is an obstacle, let’s be honest…it’s the allocation of finances that gets most entrepreneurs in trouble.  Let me say that again…it’s not the lack of funds that holds you back; it’s what you do with the funds that are available.

As an example of how to make money with nothing I’m going to tell a story of how I made my first $4,000…with no money and how you can use the same principles to build your business.

In 2004 the Real Estate market was hotter than a late July day in Florida…which is REALLY hot.

I was in the middle of the top 3 hottest markets in the country…Southwest Florida.

Principle #1…Opportunity

So what does a young brash entrepreneur do?  Quit my job, spend the next two weeks IMMERSING myself in an education of Finding, structuring and dealing property.

Principle #2 & #3 Decide and Education

Now when I say I immersed myself in education, I mean it.  I locked myself in my bedroom of my apartment and studied EVERYTHING I could get my hands on about investing in residential Real  Estate.

Three weeks after my “schooling” I had a property under contract and had 3 prospective buyers lined up to buy my contract.

That deal, by the way, went horribly wrong and I was almost out of business prior to even making one penny.

Principle #4 & #5 Massive Action and More Education

It was another month before I had put together a deal that returned me any money.  To this day, I will NEVER forget the feeling of sitting at that closing table and walking away with a check made out to me for $4,000.

Pleased keep in mind, I had nothing.  Remember, I had quit my job and had NO income for over 2 months.

What I did have was a HUGE DESIRE to make this work…even if it broke me!

Principle #6 Burn The Life Boats…There is No Other Option!

So, you want to know how to make money with nothing?  It’s easy really, just go back through and relate each one of the 6 principles to your business.

I don’t care what business you are in.  I still love Real Estate…maybe not currently in the wake of our economy, but it will always have a spot in my heart.

Your Direct Sales business can be started the exact same way.

The day you start you are given an Opportunity that you don’t have to create!  Someone has created the company, product and compensation plan.

Obviously you already decided to join an opportunity.  And, chances are if you’re with a Great Company, the education you need to succeed is provided to you.  And if it’s not, you are at no shortage of information.

So, the only thing left for you to do is to Take Massive Action and continue to learn from your experiences.

Oh yeah, and I almost forgot…Burn The Life Boats! If you’re going to make it and learn how to make money with nothing, you’ve got to be ALL IN!  Nobody has ever done anything worth-while with a half hearted attempt.

There ya go, that’s how to make money with nothing.  It really is easier than you think.  Don’t fall victim to the “I don’t have enough….” mentality.  That thought process will always keep you from succeeding.

So can it be done?  Absolutely Yes!

Home Business Consultant: What’s It worth to You

Unemployment is at 17% and well on its way to 25%.  Every day we hear about a City, State or Country that is on the verge of Bankruptcy.  Yet for those who pay close attention to their Home Business Consultant, these are the best years in recent history…with an outlook of ENORMOUS prosperity.

You are living during one of the most exciting times in recent history.  Yes, I said exciting.

You see, only those who are relying on others for their income are worrying.  You and I, however, see this as a time of Opportunity.

Opportunity for us, but more importantly opportunity for everyone who decides to educate and arm themselves with the knowledge that will help them become prosperous.

Let’s Go Over A Couple Scenarios…

If it’s true that History repeats itself, we are going to see some VERY interesting financial times ahead of us.

We are at an ALL TIME high with the amount of debt we’ve got and an ALL TIME low in terms of savings.

Now this doesn’t take an economist to figure out what happens next…If you can’t afford to pay for something, the debtor takes it away from you.

When this happens on a VERY large scale it’s not just your car, TV or furniture that gets taken away…it’s your JOB.

If you’ve been paying attention to your home business consultant, you are ready to transition into a Home Business Entrepreneur.

On the other hand, if you have been putting off dealing with a home business consultant, you are going to be left scrambling.

So, I guess you can put off any advice you get from your home business consultant and not prepare yourself.  Or you can begin to take notice and be proactive.

This Is Usually How It Goes…

“I don’t have time to work on building my business.”

“I’m just not a very technical person.”

“I feel funny about putting out Marketing on Social Media.”

“Do I really have to do Videos?”

“PPC is confusing, I’ll just wait until I can outsource.”  Etc, etc, etc…

I guess you’re right.  Having no job, losing your car and having your house foreclosed on are much better alternatives.

What If I’m Just Half Right?

Let’s say our global economy is able to defy all mathematics and is able to self correct.

But instead of sitting back and doing nothing, you took the time and energy and learned how to become a business builder and took the advice of your home business consultant.

Not only did you not lose your car, TV, furniture or your house, but you acquired a new skill that allowed you to VOLUNTARILY leave your JOB!

What would that be like?  You can be one of the few who decides to take their life into their own hands and write their own paycheck.

Take a look around.  Who are the people making the most money?

Is it the people who are working the 9-5?  Or, is it the new breed of Entrepreneurs who are leveraging the power of the internet to position themselves in front of MILLIONS of people with solutions?

I think you know the answer to this question and I KNOW which side you want to be on.

Don’t wait my friend.  You can have, do or be anything you want.

Take the advice of a home business consultant…Life is only stressful if you choose it to be.  So choose to take control, or someone else will.

You may or may not know that I did not graduate from college.  What I did end up with, however, is a PhD in Results.

Now, I’ll be the first to admit that this route is not for everyone.  It is NOT for the faint of heart and those simply looking to “get a job.”

Why would you get involved in a Home Business and not look for Top Tier Direct Sales Business Opportunities?

Are you not familiar with Top Tier Direct Sales?

That would be about the only reason I can think of that someone wouldn’t be ALL-IN and jump all over a top tier direct sales business opportunity.  Well, I know what the real reason is, and I’ll share that in a moment.

But right now I’m going to give you 3 great reasons for you to start thinking about Top Tier Direct Sales.

  • Immediate Growth: How many sales do you need to make in your MLM to be profitable?

Let’s really think about this for a minute.  If you get started for $400-$500, how long before you are profitable?

Well, let’s just assume you get a $40 sign up bonus (that’s pretty standard) and each re-order gets you X amount of volume to go towards your “residual income.”

Well, that’s at least 10 PERSONAL sales before you’re in the black.  The average MLMer recruits roughly 3 people before they call it quits.

Most top tier direct sales business opportunities have you in the black with no more than 2 sales.  It is even EXTREMELY possible for you to be profitable after your first sale.

Yup, your right, the cost to get involved in top tier direct sales is higher but so are the commissions.

Let’s take the previous example of you getting started in a Top Tier program.

You pay $2k to get started.  Now let’s assume you made two sales EXACTLY the same way you came into the business (hint: everyone will join just like you).

Well, with those 2 sales you are already in the black and looking to take someone to dinner!

Every business model on the planet should be so lucky to have HUGE upfront commissions to make the “start up” phase profitable.

If you are unable to recoup some of your initial costs VERY soon, you WILL go out of business.

  • Top Tier = Top Tier:  The last person I recruited into my business developed and patented the idea of being able to write a credit card check!

I would tell you how much he sold that company for but you wouldn’t believe me.

My point is simply this; top tier direct sales business opportunities attract top tier talent.  People who are actually LOOKING for a business!

How much easier (and profitable) would your business be if you were recruiting people who WANTED to start a business?

I’m not talking about your neighbor who would be interested in supplementing some income, I mean someone who is looking to start a BUSINESS.

The old saying holds true, Like attracts Like.

  • Commitment:  Remember earlier when I said you could get started in your MLM for $400-$500?

That’s not a big commitment for a business.

When someone says, “Yes, I’m coming in at the top of the program.”  That is commitment.

Do you think this person is going to “see how it goes” or “give it a shot?”

HELL NO!

This person just threw down enough coin to buy a car!  The very next words out of their mouth are, “Tell me everything I need to do.”

Your top tier recruit understands that this is a business.  Your top tier recruit WANTS to work their business just like they would work a Subway franchise.

Lead generation, sales processes, recruiting processes, scheduling interviews, Advertising/Marketing budget, outsourcing resources, etc.

You see the difference?

When was the last time your neighbor who joined you MLM called and asked if you would look over their 12 month business plan?

When was the last time YOU made a 12 month business plan?

Top tier direct sales business opportunities are the simplest way for an entrepreneur to plug into a business model that promotes growth.

Gosh dang!  I can’t get over this…what would your life be like if you made 4 sales in a month and made close to $20k?  4 sales!! That’s it!  (Yes, I said Gosh dang, sorry, I’m just getting fired up.)

And, of course, top tier direct sales offer residual income.  What sales business on Earth doesn’t reward the leader of a team for the team’s results?

Oh Yeah, And Here’s the #1 Reason You’re not Involved

You’re scarred.  That’s right, I said it.

Remember point #3?  Commitment…if your $400 business doesn’t work, you’re only out a car payment.

It’s unfortunate that the thought process doesn’t work the other way…You’re only paying $400, what do you expect to get in return?

You should WANT to get involved in top tier direct sales business opportunities because the CASH to be made is AWESOME!

Take a look around the industry, what are the BIG DOGS doing?  Not just the Top Earners in your company, but in the INDUSTRY.

HELP! I’m Going to Start Up My Own Business

“I Need Help To Start Up My Own Business!!”

This statement is exactly why I started charging for my time instead of just giving free advice.  EVERYONE says it; unfortunately very few follow through with it.  I am going to go over just a few things you don’t get taught with a Formal education.  Consider these “Tips from the Inside” so you can help your friends next time they say “I need help to start up my own business.”

  • No Boss: Now before you get excited and start high fiving your buddies let me shed some light.

For most people this is not a blessing.  Believe it or not, your boss is the one who delivers pressure to you to help keep you on track.  No schedule, no measureable goals and worst of all no fear of losing your job are HUGE downfalls of many would be entrepreneurs.  Now is the time to be more focused, more organized and better prepared than you’ve ever been!  Here’s a good link to look through http://www.sba.gov/smallbusinessplanner/plan/index.html

  • Costs: It takes most beginners that first trip to Staples before they realize just how much everything REALLY costs.  It’s not enough to just have the Start up Capital.  You need more than just enough to do the first deal.  Did you forget that the utility bill, phone bill, taxes and insurance are now in YOUR name?  I know PLENTY of business owners that make a lot of money.  Unfortunately most of those business owners also spend more than they make.  This is a huge factor of going out of business.  Be Accountable.
  • Staff: Congratulations, you are now the CEO, receptionist, janitor, accounts payable, accounts receivable and your own assistant.  I know what you’re thinking, “I’ll just hire someone to do all of that.”  You must have forgotten the previous tip about COST!! Unless you make more revenue to off-set the cost of that new hire YOU ARE LOSING MONEY! It is that simple and no getting around it.
  • Consistency: You’ll begin to laugh when someone asks how much vacation time you get or if you have paid leave.  These are things of the past for Entrepreneurs.  It’s time to face facts and understand that when you do start making money you need to re-invest that money both into your business and yourself.  Keep your head down and keep working.  Hopefully you’ve chosen an industry you love so this shouldn’t be an issue.  You need to become an expert in your field and the only way to do that is through repetition.  Keep at it my friend, you’ll get there.
  • Persistence: Most people stop just before it gets good.  It’s said that you only grow in direct correlation to the amount of resistance you can sustain.  The larger the goal the larger the resistance.  You must continue down your path regardless of what comes in your way.  As long as you stay focused and are clear about what you really want out of this, you should have no problem moving forward.  Chances are if you’ve got the passion persistence is secondary.

Hopefully this will give you a glimpse of some of the traits of successful entrepreneurs.  Remember you are the boss now, keep your costs down and be prepared to wear ALL the hats, do something EVERYDAY and stick with it.  Keep it together on this track and you’ll be answering next time you hear someone say, “I need help to start up my own business.”
